“Tuesday is an award-winning illustrator from Lincoln, Nebraska. After attending the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, she lived in New York until 2014, then finally moved to LA in 2015. Tuesday owns an online store with a sister store, Friend Mart, in LA’s Chinatown where she sells illustrations in the form of prints, patches, and pins.”
on her morning routine
I wake up at 7:30 thanks to my three furry alarm clocks. I take care of them, shower, and I'm out of the house by 8 AM. I drive to my studio in Chinatown and immediately go to my favorite coffee shop, Endorffeine and then start my day.
on her path to illustrating
In high school, I was introduced to the concept of pursuing art as a career and study when I enrolled in a public art school program.
I now do all of my work in a watercolor sketchbook, starting with pencil, and finishing with a brush and ink. I couldn't live without my sable hair brush and acrylic ink.

on adopting her dogs
My boyfriend, Ben, and I have three miniature dachshunds. Ben had Scully before we started dating, but I met my first dog, Gus, through his foster. Shortly after, the rescue asked if we could help foster a puppy that had been traumatized. Though we did not want a third dog, we fell in love with her and kept Baby Tiny.
on her style and shopping habits
I like to go to local shops and small businesses to buy clothes. I have two "linen sacks" from Black Crane that I wear all summer long. Otherwise, I wear black jeans and tops from my own collection of clothing that I produce.
on her beauty routine and recommendations
I try to keep it as simple as possible. I use Malin and Goetz face wash. It seems to be the only thing that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Then I use NARS concealer. I go in once a month for lash extensions so I don't have to worry about eye makeup for an everyday look. My tip is to put stock in your passion, and not your face.
